Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Duty Doctor to join our clinical team. The role involves providing immediate medical care to patients, supporting consultants, and ensuring smooth coordination across departments. The ideal candidate should be capable of handling emergency situations efficiently while maintaining high standards of patient care and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide prompt medical assessment and treatment to patients in OPD, IPD, and emergency settings
- Monitor patient conditions and maintain accurate medical records
- Respond to medical emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions
- Assist consultants during rounds, procedures, and clinical decision-making
- Coordinate with nursing and allied healthcare staff for effective patient management
- Ensure adherence to hospital protocols, policies, and infection control practices
- Communicate effectively with patients and their attendants regarding treatment plans
- Maintain proper documentation, including case sheets, discharge summaries, and reports
- Participate in shift duties, including night shifts and rotational schedules
Qualifications & Requirements:
- MBBS degree from a recognized institution
- Valid registration with the Medical Council
- 0–3 years of clinical experience (freshers may also apply)
- Strong clinical knowledge and decision-making skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle emergencies
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts
